Positive Reinforcement Dog Training available in San Fernando Valley, Los Angeles, and West LA

What Training Methods

do you use?

I don't use pain, intimidation, or fear to train your dog or cat. I use science-backed positive reinforcement, counter conditioning/desensitization protocols, management, and enrichment to change behavior.

Blue-Eyed Cat: Ethical and effective training for dogs and cats by a Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Cat behavior expert, and behavior consultant

Do you Offer any Guarantees?

I do not, but not for the reason you might think! I know these methods work, but it's unethical to make promises or give guarantees regarding outcomes. If any trainer/behavior "professional" does, it's a red flag! Animals are sentient and as such, no one can truly guarantee how they will react to a behavior modification program. Underlying health issues, the animal's individual learning history, the time and energy you have available to implement given strategies and much more all affect outcomes. I can promise to show you science-backed methods that are generally very effective and to trouble shoot with you to find the best possible outcomes your animal is capable of.

What is your Service Area?

Piggy Bank on Calculator: Lots of options availble at various price points. Free podcast, low cost group lessons, and private one-on-one sessions are available.

How Much does it cost?

My prices are clearly listed on my Services Page

Typing on a Computer: Virtual dog training available for clients anywhere in the United States!

Should I do In-Person or Virtual Sessions?

If you're in Los Angeles, you've got options! Which is best depends on your preferences. I love meeting your animals in person, but anything we can accomplish in-person we can accomplish via Virtual Sessions as well. Virtual are preferable for very nervous dogs who would be stressed by my presence. You also receive the recorded session so you'll have it for reference!

Hand With Card: multiple payment options available, including Zelle, Apple Pay, all major Credit Cards, and cash.

When and How do I pay?

A Credit Card is required to secure an appointment, although I generally don't collect deposits (exceptions apply). My booking system will take your credit card number and store it securely. On the day of the service - your hike, session, or the first day of a boarding - I will charge your Credit Card for the full amount, plus a 3% processing fee. If you'd like to avoid the fee, you may pay via Zelle, but you must communicate your wishes and remit payment when due to avoid a charge to your credit card. You will always receive a receipt for payments of any kind.
